“…Your Promise To Me…Gives Me Hope…” Psalms 119:49

What a wonderful feeling!!  I have been full timing it in my RV for 11 whole days!!

0623192001

Dusty and I are almost unpacked too!  We are both pretty tuckered out! A few items remain to go into storage under the bed and some BBQ goodies to be stowed in the “basement” – yes – amazingly I still have a bit of room left!

But in my haste to get things done’n’dusted both at the house and the RV I have smashed my big toe! Silly me –

If it were colder I would love a fire!❤ But I am having a cold frosty beverage with the realization I will probably lose my toenail for the next 6 months – major bummer drag – such a fond memory of my RV beginnings – LOL – will definitely remember my 1st 11 days!!

CHEERS!!

So They Loaded Up The Truck And Moved To Beverly ~ Foggy Mountain Boys

Had to share a couple more pics –

My furniture looked like the Beverly Hillbillies moving to California!!  LOL

My emotions are coming back down to earth – just a few more days of up/down stress and I can actually really close this chapter and move forward!!

I sign the seller’s docs today at “High Noon” – Realtor is a bit apprehensive now because the buyer’s $ is delayed so I may not get the funds until Friday instead of Thursday – but I’m OK as it’s seems to have always been one thing after another with this whole sale saga so why should the end be any different!!  LOL

On the RV side since I bought this RV from consignment the previous owners delayed a bit in paying off their loan and getting the title from the bank so I still do not have plates – dealer said he is working with previous owners on it and feels confident he will have plates in hand before end of June!  At least it is in the works too!!

I really do love the RV tiny space – so does Dusty – friends were right about it helping him relax – he actually likes looking out the window now seeing no boarder fencing 10 feet away able to watch folks go by walking their dogs – confidentially so do I!!  😊

Just a few more days – seems like forever since starting this adventure it’s almost anticlimactic for it to end soon – LOL  But definitely wanting it to end soon and end on a positive note!!

HUGS!!

Arise, let us go from here… – John 14:31 NKJV

I am writing this from my dining table in my RV!!  Tonight will be the first all night stay.  However Dusty is none too pleased with me at the moment and on the way from house to RV he shared a varied and wide range of non-stop musical notes that he created deep down in his lungs or maybe even stomach.  Some of his mutterings were definitely not of a normal cat!!  Luckily RV was only 5 miles away from house so now he is sulking back in the bedroom, not coming out and definitely not speaking to me – went from all to nothing – cats go figure?  Not only did I spray that Feliway pheromone thru-out the RV but also have the little Feliway room diffuser going full blast – it should calm one or both of us down to sleep tonight – LOL

Tomorrow will be back at the house to continue boxing, washing and trying to drain the waterbed – it really is a 2-person job so I am struggling just a bit – trying to put heavy boxes on the bag to force it to continue draining – then the hose connector leaked so it’s now duct-taped together over a drain pan – it is a sight to behold! If it will only hold together to drain it I will consider it a huge success –

Dear friends continue to help me with taking furniture (and hopefully the bed too – at least the platform) J and other misc. items that just can’t fit into the RV. Like Garden tools, Shelves, Shovels, a 6ft ladder for example – I have room for my 2-step stool – but stuff like that is a continuing learning opportunity –

My dental implant adventure has also moved forward – my gums are healing nicely and I am already scheduled for my return engagement here in August to complete this dental opportunity – and then I’m off to So Cal! More on that later –

Thanks for being here with me as I take this next big step into full time RV’ing!

Keep moving forward!

HUGS!!

Kimberlie

The Lord works in mysterious and wondrous ways! Paraphrased-Kimberlie

As many of you may know my house went live on the market Friday and what many of you don’t know is it sold in one day!! I accepted a full price offer!! I was quite surprised to say the least! Even my realtor said I was just handed a golden egg – I think that means that even he liked the offer and terms.  Thank you all so very much for keeping me in your prayers for a swift successful sale –

I have had a couple of RV driving “classes” and it felt GREAT!! Driving 22,000+ lbs is fabulous for also helping me slow down!! I will be moving my RV from storage – currently at the dealer lot – over to Mesa Spirit RV Park on May 15th and living part time in my RV while clearing out my house as it is a 30 day escrow so I will be outta my house June 13th!!  I’ll be staying at Mesa Spirit thru July 8th and then off to Greeley Colorado!

kitchen, fireplace, tv

Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers – you have strengthened, comforted and encouraged me to keep moving forward when I thought I could not – I cannot thank you enuf!! I’m so very happy you will be with me on this incredible journey!

Cheers!!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

My inner strength has been tested lately –

As several of you know I cracked a tooth Sunday!  Of all the things I could do – I’m just now finishing up the implant on the R side and now gotta start all over on the L side – thankfully I will still be here so I can have the same oral surgeon do this next one –

Along with this new opportunity I take another step forward in my RV journey – on 5/15/19 I will be co-locating!!  Living part time in both my house and my RV – well to start with more like 10% RV living but I am sooooooo excited and yes my spirit soars! I’m glad you’re here with me!

I found a fabulous RV Park over in Mesa – Mesa Spirit RV – to move into from May 15th thru July 8th – it also happens to be right next door to the RV dealership there on Main street where I found my RV – so convenient too!!

And FYI I will be taking my RV driving class on May 3rd –  might wanna stay off local roads on that day – LOL

Learning to drive it on this day will also help refocus my stress more constructively as my realtor wants to postpone listing my home until May 11th – he will be out of town on the 3rd and feels it will be like “Grand Central Station” if I were to hold it on my own!! That’s so not gonna happen! That’s why I’m paying him! LOL

Downsizing continues with more and more boxes and bags sorted in the garage – including boxes of fun RV stuff too!! I’m now on the hunt for an air compressor that is RV travel size, can handle 100psi and is budget friendly!

😎

Baby steps forward Baby!! 💜

…He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul… Psalm 23:2,3

I have taken another step forward.  Thru many blessings (and my unnecessarily added stress) I have procured my new-to-me RV!!  I (and the bank) now own a 34ft Class A 2014 Tiffin Allegro!!  And no I did not pay sticker price!! 😎

I always thought that buying my Harley was a big step –  so this is HUGE!! I am adjusting to the loss (sale) of my Harley and Kawi but feel this coach was the best balanced decision I could make to keep moving forward – challenging part was to continually balance needs vs wants AND keep within budget!!  (albeit top end of budget!!)  LOL

Also my house goes on the market May 3rd – please keep me in your prayers for a swift successful sale – planning to take some of the proceeds and pay off RV bank loan so I can continue to be debt free – plus with sale of house no more mortgage!❤

Course I’m scared  but I am also confident – friends and family are tremendous blessings – your prayers, encouragement and support have helped me move forward – I am sooooooo very thankful to have you with me to enjoy this journey –

Next step is to move RV to RV park in Mesa and settle in with Dusty (kitty) – it will be the next big step for both of us – this will be thru end of June or more likely thru the 4th of July holiday – at this time plan is to cruz to Greeley, CO after the holiday – 💜

Stay tuned!

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart. Psalms 27:14

Events are beginning to occur that I had only dreamed about last year –

The discrepancy in property sqft has been legally corrected altho’ the Maracopa County Assessor site won’t update until 2021 due to antiquated software! My tax refund will be processed later in Q3’19 –  But I have received the legal docs to release my realtor to do his thang!

Which he is doing and feels confident that my home will sell quickly at a decent price – he is helping with a couple of cosmetic fixes and we plan to list it May 3rd – barring anything unforeseen –

So after visiting RV sites, shows and hundreds of online searches I found my dream machine – a FABULOUS new-to-me (used) RV and the dealer accepted a negotiated offer!  💜😎 I will continue with my RV classes – but I feel like I made the best balanced decision I could and at a great time too –

Downsizing continues to be very challenging – I have rented a storage unit as family may not be able to visit before June – actually this may end up being very beneficial as some items are harder to let go of than others but I can store them for some additional consideration time – and renting a small unit for just a few months will give family extra time too!  Win/Win!!

A short update for today – still much to do and complete to start traveling – but a big step forward I wanted to share with you –

Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. – Francis of Assisi

I am happy to share that 2 RV Shows (and 1 rather disappointing dealer visit) are now under my belt!! I actually got up out of the house and did it!!  It was a GREAT learning experience!! And after seeing a few RV’s and going inside and all around I am narrowing down my dream vehicle wants and needs!! Still a ways to go but steps forward baby!!  I also enrolled in some RV classes for newbies – I think it’s another big step forward for me –

And now a new challenge (potential delay) arose with the official square footage of my home – go figure? You see my realtor discovered the Maricopa county tax assessor has been slowly increasing the sqft of my home over the years from 1950 to 2300sqft – no we don’t know how/why either but I am owed some $$$ and realtor cannot legally list it for sale until this error is corrected –

This opportunity is theoretically moving forward – the tax assessor is to call me within 3 – 4 weeks – as of today I am at the end of week 3 – and no call yet – but perhaps this unforeseen delay is helping me focus on learning to relax more and not stress so much? For several years stressing was how I lived –

Anyway once the Assessor can correctly measure the square footage of my home – update the Maricopa county records – then my realtor can legally list it – and I’m off to the races!! 😎

So while I wait and in tandem with the RV classes I continue with downsizing my stuff – the most difficult task is going thru 42+ years worth of pictures – as you know memories can be tough and can take more time to go thru so when I find some photo(s) that I just cannot discard I take the time to scan ’em to my external hard drive and then I can let go and put them in packages to share with family – some keepsake packages are still being filled and I plan to ship some and deliver some of them myself to celebrate these shared memories 💜 Family is also planning to visit in Spring –

I am blessed with family and friends who are helping me let go of these item as well as disposing of the bigger household stuff – I’m realizing that downsizing from 1950sqft into 300sqft takes teamwork!

Hugs 💜

Annu Miarabilis 2018 – a remarkable and notable year

I wanted to reach out – to take a moment to pause and ponder about the time that was 2018 –

It was a year filled with many ‘firsts’ for me – with my Mike gone (Sept.2017) friends and family sustained me thru both good and those not so good times when it got so dark – with their help, and with my faith, I learned I had a sort of weird resilience that friends and family helped me discover and nurture – and helped make more good times than not in 2018!

Also, a newfound direction came about thru many chats and emails and lunches so 2019 brings realistic goals and great adventure into my reach –

Of course, downsizing was a new experience for me – and I feel I have made a dent in a houseful of collected stuff – it has also been an extremely liberating experience to ‘see’ my treasures thru fresh eyes and realize that other people simply cannot attach the same sentimental significance to all my treasures, so it’s getting easier to let go of simple stuff –

The downsizing process also helps true treasures emerge, so they can be passed onto family and friends that recognize the significance and can continue to enjoy them – this is an ‘added benefit’ of personally being able to take care of my last wishes sooner rather than later!

What a year 2018 has been!  At times I thought it would never end but as always Tempest Fugit and 2019 is here –

I just wanted to reach out today and tell you Thank You So Very Much for sticking with me thru 2018 and helping me to continue moving forward on my solo sojourn –

HUGS & CHEERS & SEE YOU IN THE NEW YEAR!!

Your greatest success is on the other side of your fear ~ Amber Baldwin

I had intended to blog more often during this time however there has not been much to blog about in my opinion – There has been little forward movement towards my actual purchase/move in to my RV to blog about! My time now is being spent downsizing – deciding what items to discard, donate, maybe store for future use, keep or give to friends/family – not so exciting to blog about – it would be like posting what I had for dinner – LOL

Currently I’m joining online groups and attending Webinars that are helping to de-mystify RV stuff (Black Box, water heaters, battery banks, generators, waste mgmt., electrical mgmt., water mgmt., Domicile requirements, Taxes for ‘location independent’) which is also helping me push forward –

By spending quality time learning more about all things RV I am creating my “RV Shopping Cheat Sheet” which is increasing my confidence for when I will actually be on that lot choosing my RV next spring – I will share that list early next year for your input in case I missed an item – golly 2019 is just over a month away! 😲

I am glad that I am on this journey – I am making progress downsizing, prepping for home sale and moving thru some emotional challenges – but truly looking forward to a great goal – going RV’ing Full Time!!

Many heartfelt thanks to everyone for helping me and encouraging me to ‘Keep Moving Forward’ ❤

HUGS!
